Dan is-sinjal għamdu żewġ partijiet: (jew i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal KELB, jiġifieri l-id tieħu l-forma ta’ U wieqfa ma’ ġenb in-ngħas, bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares ’il barra. Iż-żewġt iswaba’ jmejlu ’l isfel mill-għaksa mingħajr ma tiċċaqlaq il-kumplament tal-id. (jew ii) Fit-tieni parti l-istess id tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 bis-swaba’ kkurvati, bil-pala ta’ l-id tħares lejn il-wiċċ. L-id tibda minn pożizzjoni qrib il-wiċċ u toħroġ ’il barra waqt li s-swaba’ jingħalqu.

Is-sinjal għal TARBIJA jew is-sinjal għal ŻGĦIR jintuża wara s-sinjal ta’ KELB TAL-WULF biex jirreferi għall-ġeru. Is-sinjali għal ŻGĦIR u għal KBIR huma magħmulin mill-idejn forma ta’ 5 bil-pala ta’ id waħda tħares lejn l-oħra f’linja vertikali jew djagonali. Id-distanza bejn l-idejn tindika d-daqs tal-kelb tal-wulf.

Fil-plural, is-sinjal għal ĦAFNA jintuża wara s-sinjal għal KELB TAL-WULF. Ġieli ukoll tintuża classifier. F’dan il-każ id waħda jew iż-żewġ idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa u jitpoġġew f’ħafna punti fiż-żona tas-sinjali qisu hemmhekk qed jitqiegħdu ħafna klieb.

Meta n-nom KELB TAL-WULF ikun is-suġġett ta’ verb ta’ moviment id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ V mgħawġa bħala classifier u fl-istess ħin l-id timxi skond l-azzjoni. Ma’ verbi oħra ġieli tintuża l-id forma ta’ 5 mgħawweġ bħala classifier.

This sign is made up of two parts: (jew i) First the sign for DOG is made, that is, with the hand in the shape of upright U at the side of the forehead with the palm facing outwards. The two fingers are bent straight over without any further movement of the hand. (jew ii) The second part is made with the same hand in the shape of 5 with bent fingers with the palm facing the face. The hand starts off near the face then moves away and at the same time the fingers close.

The sign for BABY or for SMALL is used after the sign for ALSATION to refer to the puppy. The signs for SMALL and BIG are made with two hands in the shape of 5 with palms facing each other in a vertical or diagonal direction. The distance between the hands indicates the relative size of the alsatian.

The plural is formed by adding the sign for MANY after the sign for ALSATION. A classifier is often used. In this case one or both hands take the shape of curved V. They are placed at various points in the signing space as though several dogs were actually being put into that space.

When the noun ALSATIAN is used as the subject of a verb of movement, one hand in the shape of curved V is used as a classifier and moves accordingly. With some other verbs, the hand in the shape of curved 5 is used as a classifier.
